| The cover design of this cookbook was inspired by a painting created by Kyla’s mother. She was taking a painting class and had an assignment to prepare a still life grouping to paint at their next class. When asked for suggestions of subject matter, Kyla knew immediately what she wanted to see her mother paint and suggested that she paint her homemade apple pie served on Apple Blossom china with cheddar cheese on the side. That’s exactly what she did. Ronalda created a masterpiece. After completing her artwork, she had it framed and gave it to Kyla as a gift. It is entitled ‘Mom’s Apple Pie’ and is a cherished possession that hangs at home to watch over Kyla’s kitchen. |
